The ability to conduct military operations at all times of the day andunder any visibility conditions is a core requirement for modern and powerful fightingforces. Residual light amplification and thermography (thermal imaging) are the two core technologieswhich contribute significantly to the acquisition of night vision and night combat ability.

Night vision capability means that the soldier can visually perceive his surroundings in the dark. Night combat capability goes one step further and requires the soldier to not only see in the dark, but also to aim and use their weapon or weapon system. Classically, the ability was achieved using battlefield lighting. However, this had the disadvantage that it is only available for a limited time and the enemy can also use the artificial lighting for his own operations. Access to modern night vision technology is discontinued, particularly with regard to irregularly operating forces
unique selling proposition.
