The German company Diehl Defense, the US defense contractor Lockheed Martin and the Swedish company Saab presented at the IDEX 2019 in Abu Dhabi's air defense system "Falcon" to combat threats from short and medium distance.

The system network combines the capabilities of Diehl's missile IRIS-T SLM including the vertical 360-degree launcher, Saabs on gallium nitride technology-based AESA radar Giraffe 4A and the SkyKeeper Command and Control Battle Manager of Lockheed Martin.

The system is suitable for the defense of unmanned systems with lethal payload, cruise missiles and turning and fixed-wing aircraft. IRIS-T SLM combat targets at a distance of up to 40 kilometers and an altitude of up to 20 kilometers - enough to turn, for example, the threat of urban terrain by chemical or biological warfare agents. SkyKeeper is able to detect 800 objects and simultaneously to combat per Launcher approaching from different directions, eight.
