The Finnish Navy plans to procure four multi-purpose corvettes as part of the 2020 fleet upgrade program, which are intended to replace the four "Rauma" class rocket speedboats. The new corvettes are to be equipped for surface combat and underground hunting and should also be able to operate in the event of an ice drift (icebreaker). The corvettes are built at Finnish shipyards, while the armament (missiles, guns, torpedoes, mines), sensors and FüWES systems have to be procured separately. The following armaments companies should participate in the corresponding equipment of the corvettes: Saab, ATLAS ELEKTRONIK, Lockheed Martin Canada and Israel Aero Industries.
